More Than 6000 Affected Globally by Coronavirus

The death toll from the novel coronavirus touched 132 in China, with 6,057 cases reported from across the world. No casualty has been reported from any of the 18 countries where the virus has spread so far. China had reported 107 deaths on Tuesday which shows the quick pace at which the disease is spreading.
While no confirmed case has been recorded in India, its immediate neighbours Nepal and Sri Lanka have reported one case each. India continues to be vigilant with a regular screening of passengers at 21 international airports.
Director general of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, on Tuesday met President Xi Jinping of the People’s Republic of China in Beijing over novel coronavirus 2019 (2019-nCoV) outbreak. WHO will send international experts to China at the earliest to work with Chinese counterparts on increasing understanding of the outbreak to guide global response efforts.
