NALCO Q1 FY23 PAT Rises 61% YoY

Today, the National Aluminium Company (NALCO) reported a consolidated net profit of 60.6 per cent to Rs 557.91 crore in the first quarter of FY23. Net sales increased by 52.9 per cent to Rs 3783.32 crore in the financial year 2022. Revenue from Chemicals was Rs 1,199 crore, and that from Aluminium was Rs 2,980 crore in Q1FY22. Total expenditure increased by 55 per cent yearly to Rs 2935.38 crore. Interest was paid for Rs 3.87 crore in the first quarter of this financial year against Rs 1.77 crore in the first quarter of last year.


Profit before tax (PBT) in the first quarter of FY23 stood at Rs 757.32 crore, up by 64.1 per cent from Rs 461.36 crore in the first quarter of the same period. Tax outgo during the period under review was Rs 211.86 crore. The company’s board of directors has recommended a final dividend of Rs 1.50 per share for FY22, subject to shareholders’ approval in the 41st Annual General Meeting (AGM).
Along with the final dividend, the first and second interim dividend of Rs 2 per share and Rs 3 per share, respectively, was already paid in December 2021, and the year ended march 2022 of FY21-22
National Aluminium Company (NALCO), a schedule ‘A’ Navratna CPSE, is one of the largest integrated Bauxite-Alumina-Aluminium-Power Complex in the country. Presently, the Government of India (GOI) holds 51.28 per cent of paid-up equity capital.
Yesterday on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), the company’s stock gained by 1.35 per cent to Rs 78.70. Due to Muharram, the domestic equity market is closed today.
