Shares of NBCC (India) Ltd fell 1% after touching a dayβs high of Rs 113.25 on 17th December. This occurred despite the company saying on Tuesday (16th December) that it has received work orders in the ordinary course of business. The aggregate value of these work orders is approximately Rs 345.04 crore, excluding GST.Β
The company has been awarded a project management consultancy assignment by the Indian Institute of Technology, Mandi. This assignment is valued at about Rs 332.99 crore.
The IIT Mandi project involves planning, design, and construction-related work for academic blocks, 2 BHK and 3 BHK housing, and a student activity centre with a sports complex. It also includes other facilities at the Kamand campus in Himachal Pradesh.
NBCC has also secured a Rs 12.05-crore contract from Kandla SEZ for annual maintenance work.
The maintenance contract covers housekeeping, horticulture, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and civil works. Additionally, it includes services for air conditioners, CCTV, networking systems, lifts, solar systems, diesel generators, and fire-fighting vehicles, among others.
The maintenance work will be carried out from 1st January 2026 to 31st December 2026. NBCC said domestic entities awarded both orders and that they fall within its normal course of business.
