Shares of NBCC (India) Ltd were trading 5% lower on 11 February despite the company announcing securing two new orders worth Rs 272 crore.

The first order was placed by the Central University of Punjab, Bathinda to plan, design, and construct the infrastructure of the institute’s campus as well as other related project for a total consideration of Rs 170.33 crore.

The second order is for Rs 102 crore to be built and comes from the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti. A central covered courtyard at multiple JNVs in Assam, an MP Hall at several JNs in Meghalaya and Nagaland, and a regional office building in Guwahati, Assam, are all included in the project.

Last month, the company secured two orders totaling Rs 229.75 crore.

The first order, valued at Rs 148.4 crore, was awarded by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare for AIIMS Bilaspur. It involves constructing 72 residential units, four lecture halls for the nursing and paramedical sciences college, a 204-bed undergraduate boys’ hostel, a 334-bed undergraduate girls’ hostel, and installing, testing, and commissioning an interactive rooftop solar PV power generation system.

The second order, worth Rs 81.35 crore, is from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Visakhapatnam. It pertains to project management consultancy services for building a new hostel, dining facility, and related infrastructure at IIM Visakhapatnam’s permanent campus.

At 3:30 pm, the shares of NBCC closed 5.10% lower at Rs 85.61 on NSE.
