State-owned NBCC (India) Ltd has won a Rs 354.88 crore project management consultancy (PMC) contract for significant infrastructure development at the Gorewada Zoo in Nagpur, Maharashtra.
Awarded by FDCM Gorewada Zoo Ltd, the contract includes PMC and supervision services for the construction of the African Zoo, Safari Plaza, Animal Hospital, Quarantine Facility, and other allied works. The project falls under NBCCβs regular operations and aims to bolster infrastructure at one of Nagpurβs key zoological attractions.
This contract follows closely on the heels of another winβNBCC had secured a Rs 295.63 crore PMC order from the Meerut Development Authority (MDA) on June 23 for redevelopment projects in Uttar Pradesh.
NBCC has been expanding its project portfolio amid strong financial performance. In Q4 FY24, the company posted a 29.4% year-on-year jump in net profit to Rs 176 crore. Revenue rose 16.2% to Rs 4,642.5 crore, while EBITDA grew 19.3% to Rs 290 crore. Operating margin also improved slightly to 6.25% from 6.09% in the same period last year.
Despite announcing the order during market hours, at 3:30 pm, NBCCβs stock ended the session in the red, 2.69% lower at Rs 119.90 on NSE, reflecting a muted investor reaction.
