Shares of NBCC (India) were trading 2% higher on 27 July after the state-owned construction company announced fresh work orders worth Rs 108.85 crore.
The new contracts are expected to strengthen the company’s order book and support its revenue pipeline.
The first order, valued at Rs 20.42 crore, has been awarded by the National Horticulture Board for the construction of a Clean Plant Centre Laboratory and Office Building at ICAR-CITH in Srinagar under the government’s Clean Plant Programme.
The second contract, valued at Rs 88.43 crore, has been awarded by the Directorate of Technical Education and Training, Odisha, for the construction of boys’ and girls’ hostels at multiple locations across the state.
The latest wins add to NBCC’s steady stream of project announcements this month. Earlier in July, the company secured work orders worth Rs 878.32 crore, reflecting strong demand for its project management and construction services from government departments and public sector institutions.
NBCC has continued to benefit from increased public spending on infrastructure, education, healthcare, and urban development. As a Navratna public sector enterprise, the company plays a key role in executing government infrastructure projects across the country, providing investors with confidence in its long-term growth prospects.
Following the announcement, NBCC shares attracted buying interest in early trade. At 10:46 am, the stock was trading at Rs 95.14 on the NSE, up 1.30%, as investors reacted positively to the fresh order wins and the company’s healthy project pipeline.
