Neuland Labs Shares Fall 3% Despite Peptide Module

Newland Laboratories fells even as the company reported a positive plant update.

Neuland Laboratories shares fell nearly 3% on Tuesday, hitting a day low of Rs 22,840, even as the company reported a positive plant update.

So what was the announcement. Neuland said the first of four planned peptide manufacturing modules at its commercial site has started operations.

This module has a total reactor capacity of 7,000 litres, split between 750 litres for solid-phase peptide synthesis and 6,250 litres for liquid-phase synthesis.

The company put in $30 million to build it. The facility can handle everything from small test batches to multi-kilogram commercial orders, including more complex, long-chain peptides.

It runs on separate suites for each synthesis type so both can operate at the same time, backed by three DAC columns and two lyophilisers. Work on a second, much bigger module is already lined up.

This one is expected to have capacity of up to 18,000 litres, and the company said it could start ahead of schedule once customer requirements are finalised.

Neuland is also expanding where these peptides get used, moving beyond its earlier focus on obesity and metabolic disease into early-stage oncology work.

On the financial side, Neuland’s CDMO business has been growing fast, with revenue up 116% year on year in its most recent quarter, largely on the back of new commercial contracts.

The company had also fixed 24 July 2026 as the record date for a dividend of Rs 34 per share.

As of 13:21 pm on Tuesday, Neuland Laboratories shares were trading at Rs 22,880.00 on the NSE, down 2.78% from the previous close.
