Air India has removed A K Kathpalia, its controversial head of operations, replacing him with A K Govil.

DGCA, the aviation regulator, last month suspended Kathpalia’s flying licence for three months on account of skipping the mandatory pre and post-flight alcohol test.

Govil, has been earlier serving Air India as its ED, inflight Services.
