Ashok Leyland has associated with Hino, its Japanese partner to jointly develop BS-VI compliant engines.
Both companies have entered into a mutual cooperation agreement (MCA). Under the agreement, Ashok Leyland will utilise Hino’s engine technology for Euro-VI development and it will support Hino’s engine parts purchasing in India for global operation.
Further, Hino and Ashok Leyland have had a cooperative agreement for engine production in India since 1986.
As per Vinod K. Desai, Managing Director & CEO of Ashok Leyland, “This cooperation of our companies would be mutually beneficial and enable both of us to produce globally competitive products,”
