A final approval has been received by the drug firm Aurobindo Pharma from the US health regulator FDA for manufacturing and marketing generic Aripiprazole tablets that are used for the treatment of psychotic conditions in the American market.
According to a statement given by Aurobindo Pharma, “the company has received the final approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) to manufacture and market Aripiprazole tablets… and the product is ready for launch.”
It further added that the approval is for the tablets in the strengths of 2mg, 5mg, 10mg, 15mg, 20mg and 30mg.
It said that the approved ANDA (Abbreviated New Drug Application) is for the generic version of Otsuka Pharmaceutical’s Abilify tablets in the same strengths.
