Aurobindo Pharma has received final approval to manufacture and market Azithromycin tablets, from the USFDA.
The tablets are used for the treatment of patients with mild to moderate infections, in the US market and the approved tablet is the generic equivalent of Pfizer Inc’s Zithromax tablet.
Further, in a BSE filing the company stated that, the approval has been granted in the strengths of 250 mg and 500 mg, and the product will be launched this month.
