Flipkart aims to invest in new businesses

On Wednesday, Flipkart, the E-commerce company has said that it aims to invest a major part of money that has been raised by it in latest deals, in a new businesses such as PhonePe and fintech considering opportunities in an online money transfer segment.

Binny Bansal, Flipkart Co-Founder and CEO has said that “A large part of the money raised from the latest deals struck with Tencent, Microsoft and eBay, will be invested in new businesses, especially PhonePe and fintech.”

On April 10, Flipkart has raised USD 1.4 billion from blue-chip technology companies Microsoft, eBay and Tencent.
