Hindustan Construction Company’s joint venture with Vensar Constructions Company Ltd (VCCL) has received Rs 1,114 crore contract.

It has said in a statement that the contract has been awarded by the Public Works Department (PWD) of Government of Manipur and the project will be completed in 42 months.

The contract is for constructing the Imphal-Kangchup-Tamenglong highway, that is a part of Asian Highway No 1.

HCC has said that the project has been backed by Asian Development Bank and this part of the highway starts at Imphal and ends at Tamenglong covering a total length of 111 kms.
