On Wednesday, Larsen & Toubro said that it has got an order worth Rs 1,700 crore from Japan’s Marubeni Corporation to set up a 400 MW gas based power plant in Bangladesh.

L&T said in a filifng to BSE that “Bangladesh Power Development Board awarded the EPC contract for setting up the 400-mega watt (MW) gas-based power plant project to Marubeni Corporation of Japan, which in turn awarded the EPC sub contract to L&T on a turnkey basis.”

The company further said that its work scope includes design, detailed engineering, supply, installation and commissioning of the complete power plant.
