NTT DoCoMo, Japanese firm has received approx 144.9 billion yen (USD 1.2 billion) from Tata Sons over their Indian telecom joint venture dispute.

Docomo in a statement on its website stated that, it “has received from Tata Sons payment of the award amount in accordance with the High Court of Delhi’s decision regarding DOCOMO’s stake in Tata Teleservices Limited.”

Further it added that, the amount which it has received relates to the arbitration award and includes interest earned and other costs awarded.

At the same time, all shares in TTSL held by DoCoMo has been transferred to Tata Sons and companies designated by Tata Sons.
