The US health regulator has provided its approval to the Sun Pharmaceutical Industries for the generic Zetia tablets.
It said in a statement that the wholly owned subsidiaries of the company has received the final approval from the United States Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) for its abbreviated new drug application (ANDA) for generic version of Zetia, (ezetimibe) tablets 10 mg.
The Zetia tablet is used in lowering cholesterol in the blood.
