UltraTech Cement has posted 0.27% YoY decrease in consolidated net profit at Rs.724 crore, for the quarter ended March 31,2018.

Last year in the same quarter, it had reported a profit of Rs.726 crore. The company also made a one time provision for stamp duty of Rs.266 crore and Rs.41 crore for deferred tax due to changes in tax rates in the quarter, this leads to PAT of Rs.488 crore.

The consolidated sales for the quarter increased 34.32% YoY to Rs.9,298 crore, as against Rs.6,922 crore in the year ago quarter. Further, it has announced a dividened of Rs.10.50 per share aggregating to Rs.288.34 crore.
