Shares of NMDC Ltd gained on Monday, 2 June, after the company’s total iron ore sales increased to 4.34 million tonnes (MT) in May 2025 compared to 2.82 MT in the previous fiscal.
The Karnataka geography saw sales grow to 1.34 MT from 0.91 MT in the previous year, while sales in Chhattisgarh grew to 3 MT from 1.34 MT last year.
Its total sales during the first two months of the current financial year stood at 7.94 MT in comparison to 6.35 MT in the year-ago period. Its total iron ore production for the month was at 4.43 MT in comparison to 2.34 MT in the year-ago period.
NMDC’s iron ore production in Chhattisgarh and Karnataka was at 3.06 MT and 1.37 MT compared to 1.27 MT and 1.07 MT in the previous year, respectively.
The company’s production this year till May 2025 was at 8.43 MT from 5.82 MT in the same period last fiscal.
At 3:12 pm, the shares of NMDC were trading 0.52% lower at Rs 70.80 on NSE.
