Nvidia has invested in Bengaluru based AI startup Simplismart as part of a 14 million dollar Series B funding round. 

The investment values the four year old company at around 100 million dollars, including the new funding. Dallas Venture Capital led the round, with participation from Nvidia, Accel, Shastra VC and Micromax.

Founded in 2022, Simplismart helps businesses run artificial intelligence models more efficiently. Its software manages how AI models use computing resources, helping companies balance speed, performance and operating costs without constantly adjusting technical settings themselves.

Companies need powerful graphics processing units, commonly called GPUs, to run AI applications. However, these systems can become expensive as demand increases. Simplismart aims to reduce this burden by improving how companies use their existing computing infrastructure.

Its platform helps businesses deploy AI models, monitor performance, adjust computing capacity as demand changes and fine tune models for specific needs. Companies can use the software through Simplismart’s platform or within their own cloud and on premises systems.

The startup says it helped AI video generation platform InVideo reduce its GPU serving costs by 56 percent. It also works with companies such as HeyGen, Higgsfield, Ema and Indian cloud provider Yotta.

Nvidia dominates the market for AI chips, making its investment in software that can reduce GPU requirements particularly interesting. However, more efficient computing can also encourage businesses to adopt AI more widely, potentially increasing demand for Nvidia’s hardware.

The partnership also extends beyond funding. Simplismart has been working with Nvidia on technical integrations, including its Dynamo inference software, and has received support in connecting with potential customers and partners.

The startup plans to use the fresh capital to expand its presence in the United States, strengthen its team and improve its software. The investment highlights the growing importance of making AI more affordable and practical for businesses.
