Shares of Ola Electric Mobility Ltd are trading flat after hitting a dayβs high of Rs 49.32 on 2nd May.
SEBI has reportedly launched a probe into alleged insider trading and related party transactions by Ola Electric between October and December 2024.
The investigation follows questions over the accuracy of Olaβs February 2025 sales disclosures. VAHAN portal data showed sales of 8,600 units and an 11.4% market share, while the company claimed 25,000 units sold and a 28% share.
This discrepancy prompted emails from the Ministry of Heavy Industries and the Ministry of Road Transport, seeking clarification.
Ola Electric also received notices from four states regarding trade certificates at certain stores and said it is responding.
Separately, reports claimed over 100 showrooms in Maharashtra were ordered shut, though Ola denied receiving any such notice.
At 1:17 PM, the shares of Ola Electric were trading 0.53% lower at Rs 48.43 on NSE.
