Openhouse, a prop-tech startup, raised $2 million in a seed funding round led by India Quotient Ventures. Angel investors in the round included Mohit Gupta and Gunjan Patidar (both former Zomato co-founders), along with Gaurav Sharma of SaaS Labs and Ramanshu Mahaur of Spinny. 

Founded by Rahool Sureka and Ankit Khemka, Openhouse is developing a full-stack resale-property platform targeting India’s residential secondary market. The platform offers AI-based pricing, a 90-day sale guarantee, and handles everything from buyer sourcing and home staging to documentation and legal support. 

The startup said it will use the fresh capital to build technology, expand operations, and strengthen its transaction capabilities. 

Openhouse’s “Data IQ” engine analyzes over 100,000 data points each month to estimate property values, demand trends, and pricing patterns—initially focused on the NCR region. Additionally, the company is developing “Broker AI” to match buyers with societies based on budget, location, and use case. 

With India’s top-seven-cities residential real-estate market valued at over $60 billion (and projected to reach $150 billion by 2030), Openhouse is aiming to lift its monthly gross-merchandise value (GMV) from roughly Rs 10 crore to Rs 100 crore over the next four to six quarters, while also strengthening legal and compliance functions to shorten transaction timelines.
