Organic Recycling Systems shares rose up to 4% to Rs 210 on BSE on October 16 after its arm secured a fifth biogas plant contract from BPCL.

Organic Recycling Systems Limited told exchanges on Friday that its wholly owned subsidiary, Solapur Bioenergy Systems, has won the job from Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, or BPCL.

The plant will be built in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh, and it will turn organic waste from cities into compressed biogas, a cleaner fuel for vehicles and industry.

Under the contract, the subsidiary will plan, buy equipment for and build the plant. It will then run it for five years after the plant starts working.

The company did not give an exact value for the order. It places the job in its ‘large-scale’ bracket of Rs 50 crore to Rs 100 crore.

The plant must be up and running within 15 months of the letter of acceptance, and a three-month performance test follows.

It is not a related-party deal, and the company said neither its promoters nor group firms have any interest in BPCL.

Five orders in just over a month. Together, the five BPCL orders are worth Rs 350 crore to Rs 500 crore, the company said.

The earlier wins came over the past six weeks. Contracts for Mysuru and Raipur totaled Rs 167.30 cr, Kozhikode added Rs 92.41 cr on September 9, and Hubli-Dharwad followed on October 12.

The company’s consolidated revenue from operations more than doubled, rising 117.1% to Rs 105.07 crore in FY26.

Profit after tax rose to Rs 25.08 crore from Rs 15.62 crore. Its market value stands at about Rs 327 crore.

At 11:58 am, Organic Recycling Systems shares are trading at Rs 209.80 on BSE, up Rs 8 or 3.96% from Thursday’s close of Rs 201.80.

The stock opened at Rs 210 and has not fallen below Rs 203.20 today. That is just below its 52-week high of Rs 214.
