Oswal Pumps Bags Rs 236 Cr MSEDCL Solar Pump Order

Oswal Pumps
Oswal Pumps shares hit Rs 212 on 30 October after winning a Rs 235.92 crore MSEDCL order.

Oswal Pumps shares touched a day high of Rs 212 at the open on 30 October, after securing a Rs 235.92 crore MSEDCL solar pump order.

Oswal Pumps Limited told exchanges that Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has ordered 10,000 solar-powered water pumps, valued at Rs 235.92 crore including GST.

The pumps run on sunlight with no link to the power grid, so farmers in remote areas can irrigate their fields. The company will design, make, deliver, install and test every unit.

The pumps come in three sizes, 3 HP, 5 HP and 7.5 HP (horsepower), and will go up at farmers’ sites picked across Maharashtra.

The clock is tight. Oswal Pumps has 60 days to finish installation, counted from the date MSEDCL issues its notice to proceed or work order.

The disclosure does not say when that notice will arrive. Service continues long after installation.

The order also covers warranty, repairs, maintenance and remote monitoring of the pumps for five years.

The work falls under the PM-KUSUM B scheme, known in Maharashtra as Magel Tyala Saur Krishi Pump.

The company said the order is not a related-party transaction, and its promoters have no interest in MSEDCL.

The details were filed under SEBI’s Regulation 30 disclosure rules.

Chairman and Managing Director Vivek Gupta called Maharashtra an important market for the company and said the repeat order deepens its long relationship with MSEDCL.

It is a repeat order. Sources reported that MSEDCL gave the company an order of the same value on 4 July this year.

Sources also reported a Rs 273.19 crore letter of intent from TGREDCO in September, for rooftop solar on 9,937 government schools in Telangana.

At 14:10 pm on NSE, Oswal Pumps shares were trading at Rs 201.70, down by 3.88% or Rs 8.15 from the previous close of Rs 209.85.

The stock touched a fresh 52-week low of Rs 201.10 during the session. It’s down 61.55% so far this year, against a 52-week high of Rs 746 hit on 29 October 2025.
