• India-US Trade Talks: External Affairs Minister Dr S. Jaishankar met US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Monday on the sidelines of the 80th UN General Assembly (UNGA). Rubio highlighted Washington’s strategic partnership with New Delhi and affirmed that both nations would keep working together to advance a free and open Indo-Pacific, particularly through the Quad.

• Core Sector Growth: India’s eight core infrastructure sectors grew 6.3% in August 2025, hitting a 13-month high. Growth had stood at 3.7% in July and contracted by 1.5% in August last year. For April–August FY26, the sectors expanded 2.8%, down from 4.6% growth in the same period last year.
