Prime Minister Modi launched blockchain-based digital degrees at the 54th convocation ceremony of the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) Kanpur. All the students were issued digital degrees at the convocation via an in-house blockchain-driven technology made at the IIT under the National Blockchain Project.

Later, PM Modi inaugurated the Kanpur Metro Rail Project. According to Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), improving urban mobility has been a critical focus area of PM Modi. The total length of the Kanpur Metro Rail Project is 32 km and is being built at the cost of over Rs 11,000 crore. CM Yogi Adityanath started the construction work of the Kanpur Metro Rail Project on November 15, 2019, and PM Modi will also review the Metro Rail Project and also take a metro ride from the IIT Kanpur to Geeta Nagar.
