On June 9, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Biotech Startup Expo 2022, PMO said.

The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) said the two-day expo was organised by the Ministry of Biotechnology and the Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC). Its holding marks BIRAC’s 10th year of existence.

The expo theme is “Innovation in Biotechnology Entrepreneurship: Towards AatmaNirbhar Bharat”. The PMO said the expo would serve as a platform to connect entrepreneurs, investors, industry leaders, scientists, researchers, bio-incubators, manufacturers, regulators and government officials.

The expo will feature approximately 300 stalls showcasing biotechnology applications in various fields, including healthcare, genomics, biopharmaceuticals, agriculture, industrial biotechnology, waste-to-value and clean energy.
