Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi will issue the next instalment of financial benefit under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme today at 12:30 PM via video conferencing, according to the PMO. Under the scheme, a yearly financial benefit of Rs 6,000 is given to eligible beneficiary farmer families, payable in 4 monthly instalments of Rs 2000 each.
PM Modi will interact with farmer-beneficiaries in the event and will also discuss with the nation. The funds have been transferred to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries. In the scheme, ‘Samman Rashi’ of above Rs. 1.38 lakh crore has been given to families of farmers, the PMO said.

Prime Minister Modi will also launch the Ujjwala 2.0 by giving LPG connections on August 10 at 12.30 pm via video conferencing. In the Union Budget, a plan for one crore LPG connection under the PMUY scheme was declared.
