Shares of Premier Energies Ltd were trading in the green and 1% higher on 9 April after the company announced securing orders worth Rs 2,577 crore in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2026.

These orders call for the provision of 1,600 MW solar cells and modules. The orders will be executed during the fiscal years 2027 and 2028, respectively.

Premier Energies stated that it obtained the contracts from a combination of prominent domestic independent power producers (IPPs), module makers, and EPC contractors in India.

“This robust order inflow underscore underscores the trust placed by our customers in our manufacturing capabilities and technology roadmap”, Chiranjeev Saluja, the company’s Managing Director.

In February, the company’s chief business officer, Vinay Rustagi, said that the firm had analysed export potential in places such as the United States and Europe but chose to prioritise domestic demand owing to foreign policy uncertainty.

He also mentioned data centres as a prospective demand driver related to AI adoption. He predicted that India’s data centre capacity would increase dramatically by 2030, with the majority of buildings designed to run on renewable energy. He expects data centre solar demand to total roughly 30 GW over the next five years.

Premier Energies shares are presently trading at Rs 959.60, down 0.005%. The stock has climbed 33% in the previous month, indicating a greater push toward renewables in the face of the continued fuel supply issue caused by the Iran war.
