Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Inaugurate Projects Worth Rs 12,600 Crore in Madhya Pradesh

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh today to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of various projects worth Rs 12,600 crore.

Rani Durgavati is remembered as a brave, fearless and courageous warrior who fought for freedom against the Mugahals and was the ruling queen of Gondwana during the mid-16th century.

The statue will cost around Rs 100 crore and will spread across 21 acres in Jabalpur. The “Veerangana Rani Durgavati Smarak aur Udyaan” will showcase a 52-foot-tall bronze statue of the Gond queen.

The memorial is also set to have a museum that will highlight the history of the Gondwana region and will include the bravery and courage of Rani Durgavati.

This is PM Modi’s ninth visit to the state of Madhya Pradesh in the last seven months.

The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation of multiple “Jal Jeevan Mission” projects in Mandla, Jabalpur and Dindori districts. The cost of the projects is worth over Rs 2,350 crore.

PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone for a Rs 4,800 crore nation project for the improvement of the road infrastructure in Madhya Pradesh.

During his time in Madhya Pradesh, the PM is also set to lay the foundation of national rail projects worth Rs 1,850 crore.

The Prime Minister is also set to the foundation stone of the Nagpur-Jabalpur section of the MUmbai-Nagpur-Jharsuguda Pipeline project.
