Shares of Protean eGov Technologies Ltd skyrocketed 12% in early trading on 26 August after the company received a work order from UIDAI to create a district-level Aadhar Kendra.
In its regulatory filing, the company said, “Protean eGov Technologies has received a work order from Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), New Delhi, Government of India for providing services as service provider for establishing and running district level Aadhaar Seva Kendra (ASK) of approximately Rs 1,160 crores (exclusive of taxes).”
In the next six years, the business plans to open ASKs in 188 districts across India, offering appointment/walk-in Aadhaar enrolment, updates, and other miscellaneous Aadhaar services.
In the quarter ending June 2025, the company reported a combined net profit of Rs 23.85 crore, up from Rs 21.09 crore the previous year.
On 30 August 2024 and 12 August 2025, the stock reached a 52-week high of Rs 2,225.00 and a low of Rs 716.50, respectively.
At 12:31 pm, shares of Protean eGov were trading 8.97% higher at Rs 892.80 on NSE.
