PVR Inox Shares Jumped With Six-Screen Cinema Launch in Haryana

The cinema has been equipped with 4K Laser Projection and RealD 3D.

The shares of PVR Inox Ltd. rose 0.81% when the company said in its latest regulatory filing that it is set to open a six-screen cinema located at the Mall of Faridabad in Haryana.

The cinema has been equipped with 4K Laser Projection and RealD 3D and features five premiere auditoriums with celebrity recliners that come equipped with 2K laser projection, Dolby Atmos sound, and Next-Gen 3D technology.

Including the above cinema, PVR INOX now operates the largest multiplex network with 1,732 screens across 363 properties in 113 cities spanning India and Sri Lanka.

With this opening, the company unveiled its sixth cinema in Faridabad and plans to firm up its foothold in Haryana with 94 screens in 23 properties, keeping up its expansion in the northern part of India with 469 screens in 104 properties.

Ajay Bijli, the managing director of PVR INOX, said that they are excited to announce that their sixth multiplex is now open in the bustling Faridabad market. This latest cinema introduces the first P[XL] with laser projection in Faridabad, providing an immersive cinematic experience for movie lovers in the city.

On March 1, the company launched 18 screens across two multiplexes – 14 in Pune and four in Patna.

The company has also reopened the iconic Sangam cinema in Andheri East, which features state-of-the-art theatrical solutions such as 2K projection, advanced Dolby 7.1 audio, and Next-Gen 3D technology, offering an unparalleled immersive experience.

At 3:30 pm, the shares of PVR INOX were closed 0.46% higher at Rs 1,388.65 on NSE.
