Shares of PVR Inox Ltd soared 7% on 15 December after the company announced opening 5 new screens at Inorbit Mall. 

In its regulatory filing, the company said that they have opened five more screens at Inorbit Mall in Cyberabad, Hyderabad.

According to the filing, the Superplex offers three premium formats: Luxe, PXL, and 4DX. The 11-screen configuration, including major displays, provides crisp graphics, consistent sound, and comfortable viewing for families, young audiences, and professionals.
 
Additionally, PXL has a 55-foot-wide screen, RGB laser projection, Dolby Atmos sound, and reclining seating. The city’s third 4DX screen now features motion seats and effects such as wind, fog, fragrance, water, and snow, enhancing the viewing experience in Hyderabad. These formats are part of the five new screens, which join the current six to make the 11-screen Superplex.

With this introduction, PVR Inox currently has the largest multiplex network, with 1,772 screens spread across 355 venues in 111 cities (India and Sri Lanka). 

The Superplex has 1,368 seats spread across 11 screens, including 210 PXL, 107 Luxe, 104 4DX, and 947 mainstream seats.

Sanjeev Kumar Bijli, executive director, PVR Inox, said, “This property reflects our approach to building cinemas that serve modern audiences. The mix of Luxe, PXL, 4DX, and mainstream screens gives Hyderabad viewers strong choice in a single location. We are pleased to bring this Superplex to the city.”

At 12:18 pm, the shares of PVR Inox were trading 4.77% higher at Rs 1,102.10 on NSE.
