Railtel Corporation Shares Gain 3% on Baging Order Worth Rs 66 Crore

The company said that it had received an order from the State Project Director.

Railtel Corporation shears were trading in the green and 3% higher on 22 December after the company secured an order from NF Railway Construction for Rs 66.83 crore.

In its regulatory filing, the company said that the order is for the supply, installation, testing and commissioning of an integrated tunnel communication system, Integrated Passenger Information System, and emergency call arrangements in tunnels at the station in Bhairabi – Sairang New Single line Section of the Lumding Division.

The company has to execute the order within one year from the date of the LoA (Letter of Acceptance).

Earlier this month, the company received a work order for the supply, installation, operations and maintenance of state-wide surveillance and Integrated Passenger Information System projects across the state from Gujarat informatics.

Moreover, REC Ltd has also agreed to provide Rs 30,000 crore in funding to the company. The agreement has been formalised through an MoU. This will support the company for various projects over the next five years.

At 3:30 pm, the shares of Railtel Corporation closed 1.66% higher at Rs 296.40 on NSE.
