RailTel Received an Order Worth Rs 79 Crore: Shares Hit a New 52-Week High

RailTel Corporation of India has won an order worth Rs 78.58 crore from the Center for Railway Information Systems for the procurement of cloud infrastructure for the next-generation Passenger Reservation System (PRS) of the Indian Railway. 

The company is expected to complete the order within 52 weeks from the day of the purchase order. 

Before this, the company received a work order for Rs 39.37 crore from National Informatics Centre Services Incorporated for onsite SOC and NOC with a high availability solution with 5 years of support installation. 

Tamil Nadu State Marketing Corporation Ltd.(TASMAC) even provided the company with a work order worth Rs 294.37 crore on June 26. The work order was for implementing the project on an integrated solution that enables end-to-end computerization & connectivity of core and support functions of TASMAC for 5 years. 

April – June quarter Financial Performance

The company reported a 49.36% increase in net profit at Rs 37.46 crore. 

The company’s operating revenue was 25%, up from the Rs 370.46 crore reported in the year-ago quarter.

EBITDA grew 10.6% to Rs 74.1 crore against Rs 67 crore in Q1FY23. 

the shares of the company reached a new 52-week high of Rs 180.80 on the intraday session of August 2.

At 3:00 pm, the shares of RailTel Corporation were trading at Rs 169.35 or 4.24 below its previously close on NSE.
