Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw launched the RailOne app on Tuesday, calling it a one-stop solution for all passenger needs.
The app offers services like ticket booking (reserved, unreserved, and platform tickets), train and PNR enquiry, journey planning, meal booking, and rail help services.
RailOne is available on both Android and iOS platforms and was launched during the 40th Foundation Day of CRIS (Centre for Railway Information Systems).
It features a simple interface with integrated access to multiple railway services, including freight enquiry, all in one place.
A key highlight is the single sign-on feature, which allows users to log in using their existing IDs from RailConnect or UTSonMobile, thereby avoiding the need for multiple apps and saving phone storage space.
The app also supports R-Wallet, easy mPIN/biometric login, quick new user registration, and even guest logins using mobile numbers for basic enquiries.
