Rajnish Kumar,Managing Director of State Bank of India(SBI), has been appointed as the next chairman of the SBI.
He will take over Arundhati Bhattacharya, who is presently serving her one year extension that will end on Friday.
As per an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has given approval for appointment of Kumar for a period of 3 years from October 7.
