Saas Startup Zipy Raises $2.8 Million in Seed Funding Led by Blume, Together

Software debugging and observability platform Zipy has raised a $2.8 million seed round led by Blume Ventures and operator-led venture capital firm Together Fund. Founded in 2020 by IIT Roorkee graduate and product engineering veteran Vishalani Paliwal, Zipy enables software teams to identify, prioritise, and debug critical customer issues in real-time by integrating session replay error monitoring and an intelligent platform.

The start-up operates in a software-as-a-service model where customers are charged based on the size of their team who use the platform. As with many SaaS start-ups, the platform allows free limited use. “The point is, software developers, don’t like to be told what tools to use. Because some engineers use the platform and refer to others, our goal is to increase word of mouth,” said Paliwal.

For slightly larger teams and to get more features on the platform, companies can subscribe to Zipy for as low as $ 39 per month. If it is used by a medium-sized firm that requires a more sophisticated configuration and offers tailor-made plans to larger enterprise-sized teams, the price can reach $ 200- $ 500 per month.

Currently, Zipy only works for web browser-based applications but plans to expand to mobile apps in the future.
“Although the Southeast Asia region and India have become huge mobile app markets, the United States is still a major web browser geography,” Paliwal explained. The company sees an opportunity to grow its market to 30 million developers worldwide, translating to 10 10 billion in value.

“We’re seeing good traction in the United States, South America, and Europe,” Paliwal said. “Any bug has a massive impact on an organisation in terms of revenue loss, customer churn, and much more importantly, wasting valuable developer time resolving that bug. Sanjay Nath, the managing partner at Bloom Ventures, said: “We were amazed at how GP could reduce a bug’s TTR (response time) by 10X with a unique privacy approach.
