Saatvik Green Energy shares hit a day high of Rs 433.55 on the NSE after its arm bagged a Rs 190 crore solar module order.
The move came after the company told exchanges that its material subsidiary, Saatvik Solar Industries, had secured and accepted an order worth Rs 190 crore for supplying solar photovoltaic modules.
The client wasn’t named in the filing, only described as a domestic independent power producer or EPC player. Saatvik said the order is commercial in nature and needs to be executed by March 2027.
It also confirmed that neither the promoters nor the promoter group have any interest in the company that awarded the deal, and that the transaction isn’t a related party one.
This is far from the company’s only recent win. Just last week, the same subsidiary picked up a much bigger order worth Rs 476 crore from Vikran Engineering for solar module supply.
And a few days before that, Saatvik Solar signed an MoU with the Odisha government to set up a 3.6 GW solar cell manufacturing plant at Gopalpur, adding to a Phase I facility at the same site that’s already moving toward commissioning.
Together, these deals push the company’s order wins for August alone past the Rs 1,000 crore mark. The order flow comes at a time when the company’s numbers look weaker on paper.
For the quarter ended June, consolidated net profit fell sharply to Rs 5.4 crore from Rs 116.6 crore a year earlier, while revenue dropped to Rs 511 crore from Rs 915.7 crore, largely due to a slowdown tied to changes in solar sourcing rules.
As of 14:50 pm, Saatvik Green Energy shares were trading at Rs 416.60 on the NSE, up 3.89% for the day.
