Sahana System, an Ahmedabad-based IT services company, announced Thursday that its subsidiary Softvan Ltd had emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for a contract floated by the Indian Navy.
The project entails providing non-RF infrastructure for the upgrade of the RF measurement system, according to the company’s exchange filing. Non-RF technologies and systems are those that do not communicate or use radio frequencies for any other reason.
“The bid is valued at Rs 8.01 crore,” Sahana System said.
Given the experience criteria and historical performance requirements that are common in such bids, the company claimed that the successful execution of this contract could lead to further engagements with the Indian Navy – Defence sector.
This project expands the group’s service portfolio by demonstrating its expertise in specialised infrastructure for RF measuring devices, it noted.
