Samsung has unveiled the Exynos 2500, its latest mobile chip and the first to utilise an advanced 3nm process, promising improved speed, AI performance, and power efficiency.
Expected to debut in the Galaxy Z Flip7 on 9th July, the chip supports on-device AI for tasks such as generative photo editing, object removal, and real-time video enhancement — all without requiring cloud access.
Samsung claims the AI engine is 39% faster than the previous Exynos 2400, enhancing tasks such as translation and voice recognition. It also features a 10-core CPU and a new AMD-backed GPU with console-like graphics, including support for ray tracing.
Despite the performance gains, the chip uses less power and stays cooler. It supports up to 320MP cameras, 8K video, and auto AI-based photo and video enhancements.
Connectivity features include faster 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and satellite support — keeping devices connected even in remote areas.
