Saudi Aramco Plans to Maximise Oil Production as Exports Recover

Saudi Aramco plans to maximise its oil production during the fourth quarter of 2026 as exports recover following months of disruption caused by the Middle East conflict.

The company’s Chief Executive Officer, Amin Nasser, said it would continue increasing shipments by using available export routes through the Gulf and Red Sea. According to a report published on 03 November 2026, Saudi Arabia’s crude oil exports recovered to nearly 7 million barrels per day in October, approaching prewar levels.

Aramco has been gradually increasing production and shipments as regional supply routes become more accessible. The reopening of its East West pipeline has provided another route to transport crude oil from the country’s eastern oil fields to the Red Sea port of Yanbu.

The company is also using its traditional Gulf export terminals and alternative shipping arrangements to maintain deliveries to international customers.

Nasser said Saudi Aramco was prepared to increase production to its maximum sustainable capacity of 12 million barrels per day if required. However, the company has not announced a specific timeline for reaching this level.

The production increase comes as Aramco reported better than expected third quarter results. Its adjusted net income rose 9% year on year to $31.2 billion.

Higher oil prices and stronger refining margins supported the performance. The company’s average oil selling price increased 35% compared with the same period last year.

Despite improving exports, Nasser warned that global oil inventories remain extremely low following prolonged supply disruptions. He also expects oil demand to increase by around 2.4 million barrels per day next year.

Aramco’s production strategy will therefore remain important for global energy supplies, oil prices and the stability of international markets.
