SBI Cards & Payment Services Ltd. has joined hands with American Express for offering global benefits for consumers in India. Under this agreement, SBI Card ELITE and SBI Card PRIME the top end products of SBI Card will be available on the global network of American Express.

SBI Card ELITE and SBI Card PRIME cardholders get a complimentary membership to loyalty programs of brands like Vistara and Trident Hotels, and access in the international airport lounge and gift vouchers of leading retail brands. The cards also offer reward points on various spending categories such as dining, shopping, entertainment as well as benefits on spend based milestones.

Other than the services and rewards the cardholders will also get the benefit of the valuable network of American Express through local and global network offers. The official statement read, “Elite tier membership, complimentary domestic lounge program, access to VIP upgrades and privileges at hotels, restaurants and retail outlets around the world and unique experiences like pre-ticketing access to sporting and entertainment events such as Wimbledon and US Open”.

On the American Express platform, SBI Card ELITE and SBI Card PRIME come at a joining fee of Rs 4,999 and 2,999 respectively. Currently, the cards have been launched in Delhi and Mumbai and would gradually be extended to other cities in the American Express’ network.
