Skipper Ltd Shares Rally 7% as Company Secures Rs 588 Crore Orders

The company is a manufacturer of telecom, power transmission and distribution, and railway structures

Skipper Ltd shares opened 5% above its previous close and reached an intra-day high of Rs 244 on 16 October after the company said it won orders worth Rs 588 crore.

In its regulatory filing, the company said that it has secured orders in the Domestic transmission and distribution segment worth Rs 468 crore from Power Grid Corporation of India and other domestic customers.

The company has also received an order worth Rs 120 crore from the International transmission and distribution segment.

Sharan Bansal, Director of Skipper Ltd, said, “We are pleased with the new order inflows of 588 crores from Domestic and International transmission and distribution markets.”

He added that the consistent inflows in the transmission and distribution business led to a total order in-flow of Rs 1,803 crore for this year and have registered a 200% YoY growth in this segment. The company expected to continue the momentum in the transmission and distribution segment in both Domestic and International markets with some more wins in the future.

The company is a manufacturer of telecom, power transmission and distribution, and railway structures and has a footprint across regions, including West Asia, Latin America, North America, Australia, and Africa.

At 3:30 pm, the shares of Skipper Ltd closed at Rs 234 or 3.11% above its previous close on NSE.
