Shares of SMS Pharmaceuticals Ltd surged 6% on 26 June after the company announced receiving no observations from the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA).

The USFDA has finished its examination of the company’s Central Laboratory Analytical Services, which is located in Gagillapur Village, Medchal Malkajgiri District, Hyderabad, Telangana. The inspection took place from 23 June to 25 June 2025 and resulted in zero Form 483 observations, according to the business.

The company is committed to reaching the highest quality standards and to fully complying with CGMP and GLP regulations at all production and analytical facilities, it stated.

The “Central Laboratory Analytical Services” is an independent testing laboratory, and the facility received its second successful USFDA inspection, according to the firm.

On 30 May, the company received the Establishment Inspection Report from the USFDA for the March 2025 inspection of its Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) production facility in Bachupally, Hyderabad, Telangana.

The company reported a 17.5% increase in Q4FY25 net profit at Rs 20.32 crore over Rs 17.28 crore, while net revenue increased by Rs 248.20 crore versus Rs 245.80 crore year on year.

On 23 September 2024 and 7 April 2025, the stock reached a 52-week high of Rs 398.00 and a low of Rs 175.00.

At 12:54 pm, the shares of SMS Pharmaceuticals were trading 4.60% higher at Rs 250.10 on NSE.
