Solar Industries Bags Export Order for Defence Application worth almost Rs 1,000 Crore

Solar Industries announced on January 8 that the defence company had received export orders worth Rs 994 crore from an international client for the supply of products for a defence-based application.

According to the exchange filing, the order contract is to be executed within three years. 

Established by Satyanarayan Nuwal in 1995, Solar Industries is an integrated global explosives company that manufactures various industrial explosives, explosive-initiating devices, defence arms, ammunition and other defence-related products. 

With a global presence across 75+ countries and 39 manufacturing facilities worldwide, the company has an order book of Rs. 3,912 Crores. In October, the company bagged its biggest-ever order worth Rs 1,853 crore from Coal India for the supply of bulk explosives that is to be executed over two years.

In other news, earlier last month, a blast occurred at the company’s explosives manufacturing factory in Bazargaon village, Nagpur, killing nine people and injuring seven others.
