Sprite is Becomes a $1 Billion Brand in India

Yesterday, Coca-Cola Company became the second portfolio brand to have breached the $one billion mark in yearly sales, said James Quincey, the Chairman and Chief Executive.

In 2021, Coca-Cola said Thums Up became a billion-dollar brand across India. On 25 October 2022, the major announcement of American beverage about its earnings for India in Q2FY23. The net revenue grew 10 per cent to $11.1 billion in Q3FY23. India, Brazil and China led the volume growth across developing and emerging markets; the company said all soft drinks brands grew three per cent.

“In India, we strengthened in the year’s first half, gaining share in sparkling soft drinks. Trademark Coke delivered strong growth through effective execution and occasion-based marketing. We drove approximately 2.5 billion transactions year-to-date at an affordable price point through the expansion of returnable glass bottles and single-serve PET packages,” he said. “Sprite has grown to become a billion dollar brand in India driven by the success of a locally-adapted, occasion-based global marketing campaign.”
