The GIFT Nifty futures, which is an early indicator of the Nifty50 index stocks, was trading lower by 12 points at 24,850 indicating that the domestic benchmark indices are likely to make a negative start on Wednesday.
On Tuesday, 27 May, Domestic benchmark indices S&P BSE Sensex slumped by 624.82 points or 0.76% and settled at 81,551.6 while the Nifty50 traded 0.70% lower by 174.95 points, settling at 24,826.2.

Quarterly Results Today: Cummins India, Bata India, EMS, Finolex Cables, Dr Agarwals Health Care, Dr Agarwals Eye Hospital, Granules India, Hinduja Global Solutions, Natco Pharma, Steel Authority of India, Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation, Mamata Machinery, and TVS Supply Chain Solutions are some of the prominent companies set to announce their quarterly earnings for January-March.
HBL Engineering: HBL Engineering secured a Letter of Acceptance from IRCON International for the supply of Kavach systems valued at Rs 101.55 crore. The company will complete the delivery over 18 months.
ITC: British American Tobacco (BAT), based in London, plans to sell a 2.3% stake in the company through a block deal. An industry source said that the deal is valued at around $1.36 billion, with a floor price set at Rs 400 per share.
Jupiter Wagon: Jupiter Electric Mobility, a subsidiary of the company, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Pickkup to roll out 300 JEM TEZ electric vehicles by the end of the year. The partnership aims to promote sustainable logistics and bolster the PM e-DRIVE clean mobility initiative.
Tata Steel: Tata Steel filed a fresh petition with the Delhi High Court, seeking Rs 757.14 crore in compensation, along with interest. The petition addresses the cancellation of a coal block and the non-payment of outstanding dues.
