The GIFT Nifty futures, which is an early indicator of the Nifty50 index stocks, was trading lower by 30 points at 23,242, indicating that the domestic benchmark indices are likely to make a muted start on Thursday.
Earlier on Wednesday, 16 September, the domestic benchmark indices S&P BSE Sensex gained by 332 points or 0.45%, and settled at 74,336 while the Nifty50 traded 0.43% higher, closing at 23,217.

Alembic Pharma: The US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) has issued an Establishment Inspection Report (EIR) and closed its inspection of Alembic Pharmaceuticals’ bioequivalence facility in Vadodara, Gujarat. The USFDA conducted the inspection from March 3 to March 7, 2025.
Highway Infrastructure: Highway Infrastructure has received an order worth Rs 220.66 crore from the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority. The order covers user fee collection and toll plaza operations on the Gorakhpur Link Expressway. The project also includes deploying four patrol-cum-safety vehicles along with the required personnel.
Infosys: Infosys announced the expansion of its Indore Development Center (DC) to strengthen its presence in Central India. The expanded facility will focus on AI, cloud, cybersecurity and next-generation digital services.
GR Infraprojects: The company has issued a termination notice to NTPC for the EPC package related to the implementation of a battery energy storage system (BESS) at NTPC’s Mouda Super Thermal Power Station.
Fortis Healthcare: Fortis Healthcare has signed definitive agreements with Seth Sunder Lal Jain Charitable Eye Hospital to provide healthcare services at a 400+ bed super-specialty hospital in Ashok Vihar, New Delhi. The hospital is expected to begin operations in three to four years.
