The GIFT Nifty futures, which is an early indicator of the Nifty50 index stocks, was trading higher by 4 points at 24,652, indicating that the domestic benchmark indices are likely to make a muted start on Thursday. 

Earlier on Wednesday, 5 August, the domestic benchmark indices S&P BSE Sensex  gained by 152 points or 0.19%, and settled at 78,581, while the Nifty50 traded 0.04% higher or 10 points, closing at 24,624.

Alkem Laboratories: The US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) has issued a Form 483 containing seven observations following an inspection of Alkem Laboratories’ Daman manufacturing facility. The regulator has classified the facility’s inspection status as Official Action Indicated (OAI). The USFDA conducted the inspection from April 20 to May 1, 2026.

J Kumar Infraprojects: The company has received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from the Karnataka Housing Board for the design, engineering, procurement, and construction of an international cricket stadium and related infrastructure. The contract has a total value of Rs 990.16 crore.

Aegis Logistics: The company and its subsidiary, Aegis Vopak Terminals, have signed a framework agreement to develop an additional refrigerated, double-steel-wall, full-containment storage tank for propane at their terminal in the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) tank farm area.

Dabur India: The USFDA has issued a warning letter to Dabur India’s Silvassa manufacturing facility following an import alert issued in June. The regulator has sought additional information about the company’s corrective and preventive action (CAPA) plan.
