The GIFT Nifty futures, which is an early indicator of the Nifty50 index, was trading 0.11% higher by 26 points at 24,478, indicating that the domestic benchmark indices are likely to make a positive start on Tuesday.

On Monday, 28 April, Domestic benchmark indices S&P BSE Sensex Soared by 1,005.84 points or 1.27%, and settled at 80,218.37 while the Nifty50 traded 1.20% higher by 289.15 points, settling at 24,328.50.

Quarterly Results Today: Bharat Petroleum Corporation, Ambuja Cements, Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Finserv, Capital Small Finance Bank, Ceat, Fedbank Financial Services, Jana Small Finance Bank, Praj Industries, Five-Star Business Finance, IndiaMART InterMESH, Punjab & Sind Bank, Schaeffler India, Trent, UTI Asset Management Company, Shoppers Stop, Star Health and Allied Insurance Company, and Vishal Mega Mart are some of the prominent companies set to announce their quarterly earnings for January-March. 

Aurobindo Pharma: The company has reported a fire incident in the coal crusher section of its Penicillin-G manufacturing facility located in Kakinada SEZ, Andhra Pradesh. While the fire damaged some ancillary equipment, the core manufacturing infrastructure remained unaffected. Crucially, there were no injuries reported. The company has assured that the incident is not expected to significantly impact its operations or overall financial performance.

Gensol Engineering: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) recently carried out search and seizure operations at Gensol’s offices in Ahmedabad and Gurgaon. During the operation, officials confiscated various documents, electronic devices, and financial records. Gensol clarified that the action was taken under the Foreign Exchange Management Act of 1999. The company also noted that it’s currently not possible to determine the financial impact of this development.

Wipro: Wipro has been chosen by Europe-based Vorwerk to overhaul and manage its IT infrastructure. As part of this five-year partnership, Wipro will use its AI-driven infrastructure operations solutions to modernize and enhance Vorwerk’s IT ecosystem, supporting the company’s broader digital transformation goals.

CESC: The company has announced signing a Power Purchase Agreement with its subsidiary, Bhojraj Renewables Energy, for a 300 MW wind-solar hybrid project. The power will be supplied at a tariff of ₹3.81 per kWh over a 25-year period. This agreement is currently pending approval from the West Bengal Electricity Regulatory Commission (WBERC).

Landmark Cars: The premium automotive retailer has divested its Jeep operations in Punjab, which included two showrooms and a workshop. With this sale, the company has fully exited the Punjab market. The decision is in line with its broader strategy to streamline operations and optimize costs.

Adani Green Energy: For the quarter ended January-March, the company reported a 53.3% year-on-year increase in its consolidated net profit to Rs 230 crore for the quarter under review compared to Rs 150 crore reported in the same quarter last year. 

Tata Motors: The company said that the Board of Directors of the company are set to meet next on 2 May to consider and approve raising Rs 500 crore via the issue of securities on a private placement basis.

HG Infra Engineering: HG Raipur Visakhapatnam OD-6 Private Limited, a subsidiary of the company, has announced that it is securing a provisional certificate for a project worth Rs 1,123 crore.
